You should give us more guidelines. Like what is ‘cheap ? Salmon isn’t considered cheap. But there are alot of things you can do. Simple little things that are special, such as Filet with twice baked potatoes, or roasted potatoes with herbs and veggie. Stuffed pork chop or butterflied with a ring of baked acorn squash and minted green peas in the center, or stuffed mushrooms.

I think you need to look for that one special thing that you love, do best and make it your ’signature’ dish…Cherries Jubilee dessert, baked brie in phyllo dough with fruit/berries or something unique on top…something. And, by the way, with all seriousness and not to hurt your feelings, but I sincerely hope that you are paying more attention to your dishes and service than you did to your spelling. Is it a clue that you aren’t detail oriented–or just a bad speller? Just ‘food for thought’., no pun intended…oh o.k. pun intended!

But, actually, your menu sounds good. Good luck.

You asked this question and spelled most things wrong. Makes me think you have a job at 7 – 11 and wish you had a store to call home that feeds people. And if you were as high dollar and looking for menu ideas you would have high dollar chefs creating things for you. No one who has a 5 star joint has to ask questions that do not even have proper grammer and/or spelling. You run a slurpee fountain and the colors are red, green, blue, yellow and mixed. When you get a job as a bar back, give us a jingle.

Is the Jungle Book a racist disney movie?
The song about the orangutan (some say allude to African Americans) wanting to be human (since they were seen as property and not human) has caused debates on whether or not Walt Disney was racist.

Who cares.. honestly everyone in the world is racist alil.. and it will never go away.

Its a fact that Disney was racist, Not as much to African Americans then to Jews, He was known to be a kinda an Anti Semitism.

hmmm i never thought of that…but the story doesn’t have anything to do with black people…it’s set in india. but most disney movies are racist, at least the older ones are

In the beginning the Jews were Gypsies…What do you think?
From an old Roma saying: "In the beginning, the Jews were Gypsies and the Gypsies, Jews"
Does have a ring of truth about it doesn’t it? considering Israel’s constant wanderings and persecutions, and the parallel of that to Roma.

In an another Roma saying "The Roma are a giant tree, it has many branches, with many leaves"
Interpreting this is important, the saying is hundreds of years old.
"The Roma being a giant tree" refers to the source of mankind on earth today, the branches and leaves mean "many clans, and many nations"
Thus to sum up: We Roma believe we are the parents of YOU ALL, regardless how much you hate and despise us and reject what is said, it is true.
Now, Jews also have the same reasoning through Abraham in Genesis.
There are many parallels that can’t be ignored, I have studied for three years and I believe we were in Israel at the time of the destruction of the second temple when it was invaded by the Assyrians (modern Iraq) and many hebrews were exiled in the Indus Valley, now present day Pakistan and it lies on the border of Afghanistan.
Is it mere coincience that we came out of the Indus Valley hundreds of years later professing one God, and a law system that matches that of Judaism of old?

One last thing, Gypsies passed through greece on their way to central Europe, the Greeks call the Roma "Atsinganoi" a sect that practiced radical Judaism, the places they occupied in Greece was called "Little Egypt" there is no text indicating that the Roma were of Indian appearance.

This fits with the new testament as somewhere in the book of Acts the Messianic Jew called Paul was taken for an Egyptian.
What do you think?

I think it’s an inane, absurd supposition.

Jack P | Jan 27, 2010

Genetics shows that is not the case.
Pheemz | Jan 27, 2010

The saying is more of an over simplification of racial hatred; if that is your question. Neither Jews or Gypsies were welcomed in many parts of Europe. It would be the same as a white racist today saying "N****** and S****, they’re all the same."

Common ancestors link every human to one another genetically, but so what? It is like saying all horses have common ancestors.
Kevin k | Jan 27, 2010

That saying is nonsense. Jews are not, and never were, Gypsies.
Dillard | Jan 27, 2010

Some Roma people (Gypsies) are Jewish in faith but they are very much in the minority

Why is the western media demonizing china?
The western media rarely, if ever reports on the positive aspects of china. Like for example how they came from being a poor, poverty stricken country with almost no economy to being the third largest economy in the world in just over half a century, recovering after being repeatedly attacked by western, russian and japanese forces. Almost no coverage.

Then we have the Tibetan Protests, where the western media can confidently report on a situation when they only have a heavily biased, one-sided point of view with little or no background information on the subject, effectively demonizing China.

Western media can always state that China is still a largely poor country, but think about this– It would be pretty difficult, no, extremely difficult to suddenly bring half of china’s population, a whole 500 million people, back from poverty. It is pretty impressive that in one year alone china has brought over 7 million people back from poverty. Does the media say these things? No!

Why must the western media demonize china and make it seem like an unlivable country?
I have lived in China before. I can tell you. Good food, people are decent (a little deceptive but still decent), pollution is still pretty bad but China is still working on it.

And the so called "lack of freedom" does not appear to have any affect on the quality of life in China.
Oh yea and btw, again its the RECORDS. China is working to loosen government control and to improve human rights. And you want to know why China has 90% of the executions? China has the largest population in the world, just another step to control the crime.

its a sick sad world!

Funny how the media, and everyone else, demonizes China, yet these same people rush out to buy "Made in China" goods because they cost less.

Last time I checked the Walmart stores were full of people buying Chinese-made goods. And Walmart IS a Chinese store. They sell nothing else except Made In China stuff.

Does anyone know the name of this British movie?
This one is a real hard one and I have been looking for it for about 20 years. No it’s not Sliver with Sharon Stone, The Penthouse with Robin Givens, Deadbolt with Justine Bateman & Adam Baldwin. The Collector with Samantha Egar. But, these movies resembles it alot.

It’s about a charming English man who meets & romances women. When the women fall in love with him. He kidnaps the women and keeps them in his penthouse apt. And he makes them junkies, hooking them on drugs.
The movie begins with this woman throwing herself from the top window to her death. Then he has this telescope to look in on other women. Across the street in other tall buildings. When he sees one he likes. He starts spying on her, watching her every move. Then he will make his move. Crossing the street and introducing himself. Romancing her, until she falls for him. Lavishing her with expensive gifts and fancy dinners. In the movie he drives a really fancy car. Like James Bond, in the 60’s movies. Then as the weeks go by. She moves in with him. Then, soon after he becomes hostile and abusive. When she tries to leave. The door is locked and he refuses to open it. Making her into some kind of trophy. It was made in the late 60’s – early 70’s and the girl looks alot like a young Brigitte Bardot (The Wicker Man) or Catherine Deneuve (Belle De Jour) and the guy looks alot like Alain Delon (Purple Noon). I have really tried to find this movie for ages.

Please can anyone help?? Name and Date of movie. Thanks

teeth problems any orthadontists or dentists on yahoo who can help me…?
How do you get your teeth to be really white without any whitning strips, or going to the dentist. I’m 13 btw, I hate my teeth, they have a little gap in my front teeth, my bottom teeth are crooked, but the orthadontist, told me 2/3 years ago that in 1-2 years my teeth would be straight and there not. Any dentists out on yahoo who can help me out here?

Thanks,

Sydney.

There is no way to whiten teeth using home remedies and the ONLY way is to have it done in a dental office or using whitening strips.

If your teeth did not straighten on their own by now, they never will without orthodontics.

Can true love only be found through pure fate?
I met this wonderful guy 5 years ago in a town 2 hours away at a college football game. We had this really really great time. In fact, it was the best time both of us ever had. Anyway, this is the weirdest story you may have ever heard but here it goes……we had such a blast and had such strong feelings (like love at first sight) that we started to talk about a future together and our dreams. We came up with these ideas. He lived in that town but I did not. I lived in a city 2 hours away. At the end of the night, he said that he would like to leave this one up to fate. He said I am this really wonderful, beautiful woman who is in her own league and that he could only get me through pure fate. So, anyway, I had talked to him about a graduate program I was in (in my town) and I said that I would be working on it forever because I worked a full time job. He said that in four years (when he finished what he was doing), he would come up to my town and try to seek me out (not look me up) and that he would attend my college and be in my program. He was going to hope that I was still there like I said I would be. He said that he would always remember me even when I didn’t remember him……and would give me hints. Neither one of us really thought that would happen. Well, it turned out that he appeared in one of my classes this past year. It looked like he was about to cry when he first saw me. He smiled at me and I smiled back. But I did not know quite who he was …..so much had happened to me since then. I was also blocking any memory at the time because I was married to someone else (whom I was having problems with) and it just would have been too confusing. If I would have remembered all the things we talked about at the game right away, I might have felt better about talking to him more after class (which is what he appeared to want to do, I just avoided too much interaction). That night at the game, he told me that if I was with someone who wasn’t treating me right and felt I needed to get out a bad situation, his family would pay for my attorney fees and everything. Too bad I did not remember that. My mind was too cluttered and it had been through so much. Anyway, I encountered the guy a few times after the semester was over and we had some conversations. I felt this strong connection before I even realized that I knew him from that fateful game nearly 5 years ago. He was not directly telling me who he was because the idea was for me to fatefully realize who he was. He did provide some signs….said some quotes from that night…..When I talked to him and even when I was just around him, the world seemed to balance out and harmonize. Things felt just right….like I’d found my true love even when I didn’t quite remember him….one day, I had some flashblacks (because I was thinking about the him of the present) and suddenly things connected and I realized who he was. I was excited. I found him on Facebook and sent him a brief message, saying that I was glad to see him again and that I remembered him from the game. And I just said that I would see him around campus. Everyone thought what I did was fine. But in hindsight, I would not have done that. Why? Because he withdrew from the program and from campus as soon as I did that. I know that sounds jerky but he had his reasons for doing that. I did not recall this at the time I sent the message but I remember that he said he would disappear from campus if I tried to "search" him out. He believed that truest love could only be found through pure fate and if things are meant to be between us, it would just happen. He had told me if I had flashbacks, not to try to contact him, to just want to run into him. He said to trust fate at that point. Of course, I did not remember that right away. I did not remember that part until I found out he wasn’t there anymore. He is still in the city like he said he was and is a facebook friend. But he acts as though nothing ever happened between us and just has me in his contacts as a colleague. I am very sad over this and wish I would have remembered. I do recall that I asked him (at the game) what would happen if I forgot that part and tried to contact him. He just said that would jinx things for us and it would be bad luck for both of us. He did say that he would remain in the city for a while (which he is) but nothing could be planned for us to meet…..that it would have to be through fate. And I did discuss this with him and we both agreed to all this and the fate thing. What do you think of this guy? I mean, he came here to try to find me, spent a lot of money taking classes for something he did not originally intend to do but then leaves campus when I said a Facebook message. He also said I was worth seeking out and was willing to risk. What do you think of the concept of fate? Or what he did? I know that I sort of screwed up the originally plan and the whole idea (we purposely did not keep in contact over the years). Al

could of just been married in your other life and trying to figure out the meaning in this life… basically that was someone you know and it felt so rite cause it "was" rite now you had to finish unfinish business
Lisa | Jan 31, 2010

Dear girl, Just put all this behind you and don’t waste your time with a game-player for that’s how he sounds to me. You sound very young and confused. Let yourself experience life and love will come in time. love doesn’t make people feel like they don’t know where they are or what’s happening between themself and the other. Love comes after being "in love". It’s a commitment between two people to share themselves and to treat each other with affection, respect, compassion, to grow together.
None of this fits your scenario. True love is firmly based in reality. Does fate come into it? Who knows. Does it matter?
phoenixrising | Jan 31, 2010

WOW, long read there…
Fate is, in my opinion, a not very easy to define concept because in my thinking things don?t happen for a reason and are more random that what most people believe.
However love is a diferent thing and i believe you can experience that for small fractions of time and it can mark you (just like it did the first time you met this guy) forever…If he waited 4 years and kept is promise of going over and attend the same programe as you that night was certainly a defining moment in his life and surely he understood that as "fate", however he screws up when he intends you not to look for him or "search" as you put it because that in itself is interfering with "fate"…i mean what if you were meant to be together throw your act of finding out who he was and what chances would you have together???
ricardo m | Jan 31, 2010

Suzanne,
He sounds odd. How would this play out in marriage. "Oh, we’ll see if I get a job -Fate will determine that. I’ll just wait to see if Fate sends someone to our door to hire me." Or, "Fate will decide if we have kids or not. We shouldn’t be planning a family ourselves." Then there’s this possibility: you have kids, lots of them, and can’t seem to stop, but you have no money because he hasn’t gotten job because Fate hasn’t sent someone to the door to find him. What if Fate says he should fall in love with someone else the week after you marry him?

He has completely ignored his own role in this. He planned to move to your city, to take your program, and start a Facebook account. Does he say Fate started the Facebook account? No, he’s gotten some odd ideas about love that are not healthy. It’s a nice, romantic tale to be sure, but that much passivity will be very frustrating in large doses. See how you are already confused and frustrated? HE can seek YOU out, but YOU cannot seek HIM out. If you wait for this fella’s Fate, you’ll be well into your next life before anything you want happens!

He has wound his web of mystery (a very strong hook for humans) around you. I’m sorry your other relationship isn’t working out, but do not get caught in wish-fulfilment. It won’t fulfill you at all. Strengthen yourself, make the decision as to what you want your life to be, with or without anyone else. The person who fits best into your plan will be the one worth taking a longer look at for your life.
Jeanne B | Jan 31, 2010

Wow…what a story. Had never heard of anything like this. Quite interesting and mysterious. Even thought-provoking and touching and quite amazing. But one thing comes up – and this is just my thought so please take it as that – he is overdoing it. The answerer above me is right…didn’t he ‘plan’ the trip to be where you might be. He made things happen. Fate can connect us with the right person (I think it happens all the time) but i believe that it’s our choice and option, what we do with that Oppurtunity. He does seem to have a certain belief around love but he also needs to get real. I certainly hope that he is not playing with you. Hopefully not. He found you, and then he lets you go. He finds you again and again he lets you go. How long will this go on…?

Another thought – you are in a relationship. i would really suggest to focus there – and make a good decision there. Are you planning on working at this relation, or do you plan to separate. Perhaps the other guy knows you are already involved and it’s stopping him from being fully involved in a real way?

if you can’t get it out of your mind, I’d suggest having a talk with him. Without communication, how can things go forward? Fate has already played its role with you both. How far will he take this? Life moves on. Things change. Yes, sure, another fateful day, you might meet again, but what’s the guarantee?

Beautiful story…but unfortunately, something seems wrong. My best advise would be to continue focussing on your own life. If he is really meant to be, he’ll come back to you. Let him know how you feel about all this, and move on with your present life.

But it’s important, that more than my truth, or another person’s truth, you seek your OWN truth. What does your heart say deep within. What do you really think and feel for him. Reflect on it. Then share with him, if you feel inclined to, and take the next step accordingly.

Take care..and all the best!

PS: Through all this, please make sure to know u have responsibilities towards present relationship as well.

how do I stop food aggression problem?
My mothers dog has aggression when it comes to her toys and food. We have just about gotten rid of the toy aggression by a method of give and reword. I would have to two toys, one in each hand. I would give her one. When I want it back I react for it at the same time offering the other toy

Now this doewnt work with food for it will be gone in seconds. She has not bit anyone but I am afriad she might. I had given her a bone that was given to me by my sister. When I first gave it to her I sat down let her naw on it while I pet her. She seemed ok with it. I set it on the ground and continued petting and she went stiff. I kept petting ((I think thats where my problem is)). She relaxed and I left. A while later I came into the room again and sat down and pet her. She went stiff. I kept petting her and she turned her head a little and growl. Mom yelled at her, while I staired her down. Mom got up and pulled her away while I went to grab the bone. She was growling horrorably…
How do I stop the food agression?
I am always the one feeding it but I see what you mean.

work to establish yourself as the "alpha male" of your group. Your dog needs to recognize you as the one who provides food and sees you above him on the pecking order of your home. Once this order is recognized, your dog will be less likely to display aggression towards you when you approach his food dish. To establish this order, let your dog know immediately that you can provide him with food if he acts properly, and you can take the food away when improper behavior is shown. This also goes with treats, as dogs often show aggression over food items that are given as treats.

OK, first of all you already suspect petting a dog in that state of mind is only nurturing that state of mind, the exact opposite of what you want to do. Second, it’s always best to exercise your dog before feeding, long walk is perfect. Finally, you need to address this obsessive, aggressive behavior with food. When you put the food down place yourself between it and your dog. You are simply not going to allow the dog to have the food, you want to "own" the food. Patience! You’ll want your dog to back off, sit or lay down, essentially giving up. Then let her eat. Be calm, be firm, this will work. While she’s eating, once again move in, placing yourself between the food and your dog. Don’t move in from the side or behind her, straight over the bowl towards her head. You want her to see you coming, leaving no doubt as to your intention. Once she backs off and sits or lays down, let her eat. After a few days she will "get"it and understand that you own the food and you will decide when she can have it. After that when you put her food down always make her wait a few minutes before allowing her to eat. You will have cured her food obsession/aggression. Remember, be calm, confident and in control, because if you don’t take control, your dog will!
